Stamping on a Candle

Have you been looking for a good gift idea or maybe just a special custom touch to add to your home – stamp on a candle.  I know, it sounds strange.  But, it’s a really simple process to get a great look!

You will need a light colored candle – I prefer white or ivory – and a few stamping supplies:

I used the brush end of a Stampin’ Up! markers (Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo & Rich Razzleberry – $3.50 each) to add ink to my Stampin’ Up! stamp (from the Hello Lovely stamp set – Item #130243, set of 10 for $24.95).

Then I stamped on white tissue paper and cut around the image leaving a small border.

Next, I held that against the candle and applied heat with my Stampin’ Up! heat gun, until the tissue paper “melted” into the wax.

I then added some silver 1/8″ ribbon (found in the Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog, item #132137, 10 yards for $4.95) and tied it in a bow.

and there you have it – a stamped candle…

Leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I’d also love to see your stamped candles.

Stamped Blessings,

Lisa
