Blessings, Out of My Comfort Zone

I stepped out of my comfort zone this morning and attending a bible study at a local church that we have only attended twice. (Our “home” church is an hour and 15 minutes away and too far to travel for bible studies during the week…) It felt really odd to walk into a room full of women I’d never met before (there were 12 of them!)  But, I put on my big girl panties and did it and they were all really nice!

To help me over the hurdle I came with a handful of cards ready to mail out.  I had heard that the church has a card ministry where they mail out approximately 50 cards a month…  They seemed to be thrilled and I was thrilled to take the focus off of me and onto the cards! LOL

Here is of my favorites out of the bunch I took:

It’s a Whisper White card base (5.5″ x 8.5″ – scored at 4.25″), a layer of Wild Wasabi (5.25″ x 4″) and another layer of Whisper White (5″ x 3.75″).  The Stampin’ Up! stamp set used was called Take Care. In order to color the tree and the leaves different colors I used the markers to ink the stamp. I also used the build a bird punch to make the little birdie, which was attached with dimensionals to give it a little “pop”.

Give it a try!
