Hi there stampers!  Before we get into how to make a tooth fairy box, I want to give an extra little shout out to Mary Fish of Stampin’ Pretty fame for featuring me on her blog today.  Mary is just returning for a week long cruise in the Caribbean with other top demonstrators paid for by Stampin’ Up! and an added perk for having a fabulous year!  Note to self: One day that will be me, on one of those fabulous vacations…

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you get to spend the day with your mother and/or your kids today.  I unfortunately, do not, so I’m here sharing a super cute project for you today.  I made this little tooth fairy box for each of my (adopted) grandaughter’s (Lorelai is 4 and Delilah is 3 – cutest girls ever!!) when we went out to visit them in February.  We filled the tooth fairy box with little gold foil covered chocolate coins.  They carried them around like little treasure boxes the whole time we were there. It was so cute!

Today I’ve done a boy’s version of the Tooth Fairy Box for you:

The directions for the tooth fairy box is really pretty easy.  I used an empty Altoid tin and placed it on top of designer series paper and traced around it and cut out a piece for top and bottom.  They are slightly different sizes so trace both top and bottom.  The top rim of the outside of the box is a 1/4″ ribbon 12″ long.  The bottom rim is a 12″ strip of DSP 1/2″ wide.  On the inside – same deal.  Trace the top and bottom of the box and trim them down to slightly smaller.  The strip on the inside of the bottom is a 12″ strip of DSP 7/8″ wide. The poem I found online and typed out in Word and printed on cardstock, then just cut it out and matted it.  The top of the box is the Designer Label punch.
