Hi Stampers!  I’m back with another Pals Paper Arts challenge.  This time we were given a sketch.  It’s so fun to see how as many people are given the SAME sketch, we all come up with such DIFFERENT cards!  So FUN!

PPA252I chose to make my card using Stampin’ Up!s new 2015-2017 in colors and the Crazy for You stamp set.  The Tip Top Taupe card base is 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored at 4.25″.  I then cut a 5.5″ x 2.25″ strip of Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the new in-color markers to ink up the flower and stamped it onto that strip in Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron & Delightful Dijon.  I then inked up the words in Cucumber Crush and stamped them onto a .5″ x 4″ strip of Very Vanilla.  I also stamped the leaves in Cucumber Crush onto a Very Vanilla envelope.

Stampin’ Tip: You may notice that the ink is a bit uneven on the flowers.  This was a fairly new photopolymer stamp and may have still has some manufacturing residue on it that needed to be cleaned off in order for the ink to apply more evenly.  If you don’t like that look, you may want to use ink pads instead of markers and/or use clear mount stamps (for the red rubber) or clean the photopolymer stamps with Dawn dish soap before using them.  For this card, I kink of liked the textured effect.  Guess it’s all a matter of what you like…

I invite you to join us at Pals Paper arts and come up with your own card using this fun sketch.
