PPA280 Sketch Challenge – Happy 55th

Hi Stampers.  Tomorrow is my bosses birthday – she turns 55 (shhh!!!). With the Pals Paper Arts challenge today, I figured it was a great way to kill two birds with one stone (so to speak).  It was also a great way to showcase a new bundle and a new pack of DSP that is coming out in the 2016 Occasions catalog.  I have plenty on hand to give out NOW – and you can start ordering out of this new catalog on January 5th.  Extra bonus – January 5th is also when we start the 2016 sale-a-bration, Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sale of the year!!

The Mossy Meadow card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  The beautiful DSP is a new package called Botanical Garden that will be available in the 2016 Occasions catalog, it was cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.  On that I adhered a 1 1/2″ x 5 3/8″ strip of Pear Pizazz card stock and a 1 1/2″ x 5 3/8″ strip of Very Vanilla.  I the used Hello Honey ink and the Number of Years stamp set (also available in the 2016 Occasions catalog) to stamp two 5’s onto scraps of Very Vanilla card stock and then used the Large Numbers framelit dies (you guessed it – available in the 2016 Occasions catalog) to cut them out.  I stamped the “happy” onto the Very Vanilla strip on my card with Cajun Craze ink and also used Cajun Craze ink and the Large numbers framelit dies to stamp and cut out the small flag with the “th” on it.  The “55” and the “th” were adhered to the card with dimensionals.  I then lined an envelope with the same DSP.

I encourage you to pop on over to Pals Paper Arts and try your hand at this weeks sketch.  Have fun with it!

I hope you are as excited as I am about the new catalog coming out soon.  If you don’t already have a demonstrator – I’d love to be YOUR Stampin’ Up! Lady!

Happy Stamping,
