PPA298: A Sketch Challenge

Hi Stampers, it’s that time again.  Time for another Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge.  We invite you to break out your stamp supplies and give the sketch a try and upload it at the PPA blog. Here is the card that I came up with:

PPA298 stampin' Up! Amazing Birthday card

This card starts out with a Tip Top Taupe card base 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  Next up is a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ layer of Melon Mambo card stock, followed by a 5 1/4″ x 4″ layer of Designer Series Paper from the It’s My Party DSP stack.  For the layers on top, I chose to use Crushed Curry and Mint Macaroon card stock cut at 2 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ with a 2″ x 3″ layer of Whisper White over each one.  I used the Celebrate Today stamp set for the layer on the left and the Amazing Birthday (colored with markers) on the right.  The stamp from Amazing Birthday (on the right) was actually larger than the card stock, but it still looks good to me!

I threw this card together last minute and it seems to me it’s missing something.  What would you add?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Happy Stamping,
