Hi Stampers.  I’m back with another Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge today.  This week Nicole Watt has designed a great sketch for us to use as inspiration.

PPA-302-May26 sketch challenge Stampin' Up! Pals Paper Arts

For my card this week I used something old and something new.  My something old is the designer series paper stack – Have a Cuppa.  The Have a Cuppa DSP stack is retiring this week.  My something new is the Love You Lots Hostess Stamp Set from the NEW catalog that goes live June 1st! (Do you have your free copy of the catalog yet?? Email me – I’d love to be YOUR demonstrator).

ppa302 - using the Love You Lots hostess stamp set from the Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 catalog that goes live June 1, 2016

This card starts with a Real Red card base (4.25″ x 11″, scored at 5.5″).  Next is a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of DSP from the Have a Cuppa DSP stack.  The top strip is 3.75″ x .5″ of Real Red card stock, topped with 3.75″ x .25″ strip of Basic Black card stock.  The bottom strip of Basic Black card stock is 3.75″ x 1.25″ dry embossed with the large polka dots textured embossing folder.  The lady bugs and sentiment were stamped using Memento Black ink onto a 1.75″ x 2.75″ piece of Whisper White card stock.  The lady bugs were colored with the Real Red marker and then Real Red ink was sponged on the edges.  The Whisper White layer was backed by a 2″ x 3″ piece of Real Red card stock.

So there you have it –  a cute simple card using something retiring and something being released.  Pop over to Pals Paper Arts and try your hand at this weeks sketch challenge!

Happy Stamping,
