Hi Stampers.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We had a gorgeous fall day here is southern Idaho.  It was beautiful clear, clean, crisp fall air.  We enjoyed two craft fairs, one of which I hope to participate in next year.  (I already spoke to them and it looks like a GO!)  Today’s card is a simple one that I did for a class several months ago, they loved it.

This card starts with a Marina Mist card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.  Onto the 4″ x 5.25″ layer of Whisper White, I used Marina Mist ink and the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wash background stamp.  Over that background, I stamped the lady and greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You stamp set in Basic Black ink.

I adhered the ribbon with glue dots, a few under the part that went across the front of the card and then wrapped the ribbon to the back side of the Whisper White layer and adhered it with more glue dots, thus hiding any ends that may fray later on.  Because the ribbon adds a little bit of bulk where it is wrapped behind the layer. I adhered the Whisper White layer to the card base with dimensionals.  This gave the ribbon plenty of room to hide.

For the interior of the card, I used another 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White and stamped the other lady and another sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You stamp set in Marina Mist ink.

Stampin’ Tip: I stamped before adhering the layer to the card, you never know when you might make a goof and need to flip over and stamp again.

Stampin’ Up! OnStage convention was last week in Salt Lake City, Utah.  (I’m still super bummed I wasn’t able to go!!)  I am told they announced some exciting things!  I can’t wait to find out – they promised updates early this week.  So make sure you are signed up for my VIP newsletter to be sure you are one of the first to get in all all the juicy details!  SIGN UP HERE
