Hi Stampers.  Today, we at Global Stamping Friends, are doing a “Drinks Galore” blog hop. We were challenged to do anything drinks related – this is a great chance to show off some of our amazing drink related sets!  Since I was born in raised in Northern California Wine Country, it was only natural that I use our Half Full stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

For this card, I started with a Fresh Fig card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4″.  Next I used a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Wood Textures DSP and adhered it with snail adhesive.  I was going to use a 3 3/4″ x 5″ layer of Very Vanilla CS on top of that.  I stamped the wine bottle and wine glass in Tuxedo Black ink.  It was about then that I decided I didn’t want to cover up all of the pretty Wood Textures DSP, so I turned it into a corner accent.  I layed the Very Vanilla layer in my Stampin’ Trimmer and VERY CAREFULLY cut a diagonal line, making sure not to cut the wine bottle or wine glass. Using paper snips, I fussy cut the rest of the diagonal line and over the top of the wine glass and wine bottle.

I used some of the leftover Very Vanilla CS to stamp the grapes from the tag sentiment stamp from this set and fussy cut them out too, I colored the glass of the wine bottle and the grape leaves with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends duo. The wine bottle foil, grapes and wine were colored with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends duo. To create a shadow under the wine bottle and glass and give the wine label a little color, I used the light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. This corner piece was then adhered to the card front with snail adhesive and the grapes were adhered to that with liquid glue.

It needed a sentiment, so I settled on stamping that in Fresh Fig ink onto an oval and then mounting that oval onto a scalloped oval of Fresh Fig CS with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then the ovals were attached to the card front with snail adhesive.  I thought it was just enough and left me plenty of the wood showing.  My big shot and the Layering Ovals Framelit Dies made this super easy!  This card front would be pretty on another card I’ve done with this stamp set that had pop out panels – see that card in this post here.

None of my cards are finished until I’ve stamped a little something on the inside. I stamped the inside sentiment in Fresh Fig ink onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS. I stamped the wine glasses across the bottom in Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends duos.
