Hi Stampers. Today I’d like to share with you one of the cards we made in class last night. This card uses the Stampin’ Up! Loyal & True stamp set.  This is an awesome set for all patriotic and military cards! Since it was flag day, these cards just seemed perfect to do that day. 🙂

Since this was a military card it seemed obvious to use Red, White and Blue.  So, the card base is Night of Navy CS, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. For the focal point I used a Whisper White Layer of CS 2 7/8″ x 4 1/8 & a Real Red CS layer 2 3/4″ x 4″. I stamped the Humble & Dedicated sentiment in Real Red ink onto a 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ layer of Whisper White CS.

Before adhering the center layers, I stamped the star from the Loyal & True stamp set all over the Night of Navy card base with Night of Navy ink. Next, I attached the next three layers. I stamped the Loyal & True sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and cut it out with my paper snips. (The Stampin’ Up! badge punch, will punch this out perfectly, but I don’t own it.)

The Loyal & True sentiment badge was adhered to the card front with stampin’ dimensionals.  I love how it gave it a little bit of dimension and “pop”.

For the interior of the card, I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White CS.  I stamped the soldier on the right side of the layer with Night of Navy ink, letting it hang off the edge a little, giving me more room to write my message.
