My card has layers, lots of them! This type of card is called a triple slider card, because two additional layers pull out of the main layer. (See my double slider card – HERE).

To decorate my triple slider card, I used the Snowflake Wishes bundle and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper.

When you pull on the tab at the top, it opens up the extra layers to show two more sentiments.

The front of the card features three die cut snowflakes die cut using the So Many Snowflakes Dies, in Highland Heather, Seaside Spray and Purple Posey CS. A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels finishes it off.

Masculine Circle Swirl Card

masculine blog hop badge

Hi Stampers, do you have trouble finding ideas for masculine cards?  Today’s blog hop will fill you with ideas!  My card is the first of a few that I made recently using the circle swirl technique.  This one took me a bit to figure out, but once I did – it was really easy!  I showed my stress free way of creating this card on my Facebook Live last Monday. (Note: Filming wasn’t exactly stress free.  There was a bit of a microphone issue in the beginning, but I got it fixed.  An edited version will be added to my YouTube Channel later.)

I wanted to try this circle swirl technique and found many instructions online.  When I looked at an example, i wanted to change up the colors to match the Gilded Autumn DSP and it got me SO CONFUSED!  Remember, my motto of “there is no NO STRESS in stamping”…  This made we want to figure a way to make it simple. This card starts with an Early Espresso card base and then a layer of Gilded Autumn DSP was placed over that.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autum DSP circle swirl birthday card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

What I figured out was to use the Stitched Shapes Dies and cut the outer colors (Cajun Craze & Early Espresso) using the largest and smallest circles. (I used the largest and smallest die and cut them both out of Cajun Craze and then both out of Early Espresso). The middle colors (Soft Suede & Mint Macaron) are die cut using the two middle size dies.(Both colors cut out using both dies as before).  Next, I cut all circles in half using the paper trimmer.

Stampin’ Tip: The colors were chosen because there are used in the DSP – don’t’ you love how Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy for us?!?!

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autum DSP circle swirl birthday card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

When getting ready to do the swirls, I used one half of each size.  The top row has Early Espresso as the largest and Cajun Craze as the smallest. They are all flushed to the right side and glued together.  The bottom row is the reverse and all glued together on the left.  I used the smallest stitched circle one more time to cut out a full stitched circle in Very Vanilla. Onto that circle I stamped the word “Happy” from the Well Said stamp set. The word “birthday” (from the Well Written dies) was die cut from a piece of Early Espresso CS (with Adhesive Sheet on the back). I placed the word “birthday” where it would cover up the seam between the two circle halves.

Inside the card is a layer of Very Vanilla with a sentiment (also from the Well Said stamp set) stamped in Early Espresso ink and a strip of the DSP adhered along the bottom of that layer (to coordinate with the outside).

The Well Said stamp set and Well Written dies go together wonderfully and can be used for so many occasions!!  You will see that in the coming week as I make more of these circle swirl cards using different DSPs, colors and words!

Interlocking Gatefold Christmas Card

Hi Stampers, on my last post I featured an Interlocking Gatefold card.  See that post by clicking HERE. In that card I used the Gilded Autumn DSP and the Gather Together bundle. For this card, I’m using the Heartwarming Hugs DSP and the Wishes & Wonder stamp set (with an added sentiment from the Gnome for the Holidays set).

My card base for this card is a Shaded Spruce gatefold card base. The decorative Ornate Layers dies were used on Green Foil and another layer of Shaded Spruce CS. Heartwarming Hugs DSP adds a pop of white to my mostly monochromatic card.

The circle sentiment is from the Wishes & Wonder stamp set and was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS in Shaded Spruce ink and punched out using the 1-1/2″ circle punch. A Little Christmas Wish sentiment, from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set, was stamped onto another scrap of Whisper White (also in Shaded Spruce ink) and die cut using the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle dies.

For this card, the three layered strips are adhered to the opposite sides (when compared to my Gilded Autumn card), with the top and bottom adhered on the left and the middle strip adhered on the right side.

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Red Foil paper.  I stamped onto a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ layer of Whisper White CS.  The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, the foliage in the upper left was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink and the sleigh was stamped in Memento Black ink.

Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Combo pack was used to color the sleigh and add berries to the foliage. I just love how our Stampin’ Blends work so beautifully and are so easy to use!  If you don’t have these yet – you want them!!

Interlocking Gatefold Card

Hi Stampers. I was recently asked by one of my followers how to make a card made by fellow demo Tammy Beard.  My card today is Tammy’s layout adapted to my color pallet and stamp set bundle.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Gather Together interlocking gatefold card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

The Cajun Craze base of the card is a basic gatefold card – 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 2-1/8″ from each side and then folded to meet in the middle. Over that card base I adhered three layered pieces.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Gather Together interlocking gatefold card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

Each strip starts with a piece of Brushed Metallic cardstock die cut using a die from the Ornate Layers dies, then a piece of Early Espresso CS cut with another die from the same die set.  On top is a strip of the Gilded Autumn DSP cut using the paper trimmer to fit over the top. The center piece has a strip of Very Vanilla CS die cut using the smallest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Cajun Craze in was used to stamp the sentiment from the Gathered Together stamp set. The final touch is a Brushed Metallic leaf die cut using the Gathered Leaves Dies attached with a stampin’ dimensional.

The top and bottom layered strips were attached on the right side and the middle on to the left.  They were a bit too long, so I placed them so that the fancy edge was on the opposite side of where it was adhered and cut off the excess from the back using paper snips.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Gather Together interlocking gatefold card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

Inside the card is a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of the Gilded Autumn DSP followed by a piece of 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla CS, both adhered with Stampin’ Seal.  Before adhering the Very Vanilla Layer I stamped the wheat in Crumb cake ink and the sentiment and pumpkins in Cajun Craze ink. All three of these stamps are from the Gathered Together stamp set.

Happy Birthday Baby Wipe Technique

Hi Stampers, I have to admit, I had way too much fun with the Baby Wipe Technique.  I just couldn’t stop stamping leaves using the Rooted In Nature stamp set.  For this last set of cards, I used the Peaceful Moments set for the Happy Birthday sentiment. You can see my other cards I made the same day HERE, HERE and HERE.  I really did have too much fun with this technique!
Stampin' Up! Rooted In Nature Fall Baby Wipe Technique Birthday Card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

The leaves were all stamped onto a 4″ – 5-1/2″ layer of Very Vanilla CS.

Stampin' Up! Rooted In Nature Fall Baby Wipe Technique Birthday Card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

For the focal point, I stamped Happy Birthday onto a scrap of Very Vanilla CS and punched it out using the 2″ circle punch.  I used stampin’ dimensionals to adhere it to a 2-1/4″ circle of Mossy Meadow CS.  The bow was made of Linen Trim that I tied on my bow maker tool – you can buy one HERE.  This piece of Linen Thread was adhered to the layer and attached on the back side BEFORE adhering it to the card. (Doing this, hides the ends).

For the inside of the card, I stamped a few leaves along the bottom of a Very Vanilla layer and adhered it to the inside using Stampin’ Seal.

This time, I changed it up a bit by making it a portrait orientation and used the other leaves from the same Rooted In Nature stamp set.

I used the same focal point on this card using the 2-1/2″ and 2″ Circle Punches and the Peaceful Moments “Happy Birthday” stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.

On the interior of the card, I have a Very Vanilla layer with some stamped leaves down the right side. You can view my YouTube video of the Baby Wipe Technique HERE.
