Meant To Be Valentine

Hi Stampers. Valentine’s Day is coming… Are you ready?  I just love Valentine’s Day!  My birthday is the 6th, so I love to celebrate from then until the 14th. One of my favorite grade school memories was about Valentine’s Day. I was bummed that Mom got flowers etc for Valentine’s Day and I didn’t.  My Dad was always a quiet guy – unless you got him mad – but that’s another story… That Valentine’s Day my Dad brought how a little African Violet plant just for me. I remember feeling so special! Do you have any fun memories of Valentine’s Day?

Today I have a cute little pairing for you.  A card and Tootsie Pop holder made using the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Meant To Be stamp set and the Heart Punch pack. I just LOVE that our Designer Series Papers designed for holidays have the holiday on one side and something generic on the other side.  If I don’t use up all my DSP for a holiday – there is always the other side for a non-holiday card.

Isn’t this a cute little set?  I started with the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. Choosing this paper gave me my color palette – Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red. I then added the Meant to Be stamp set, because the small sentiments fit well into the heart I punched out of the DSP using the Scalloped Heart Punch from the new Heart Punch Pack. Another great thing about our DSP papers – they often have a design that can be punched or die cut out with the coordinating products!

This card uses a Flirty Flamingo card base and a 2-1/4″ backing of Cherry Cobbler CS to go behind my 2″ strip of DSP.

The heart was punched out of the DSP – the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack fit perfectly.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Meant to Be stamp set into the middle of the heart (in Cherry Cobbler ink) and adhered it to my card front using stampin’ dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment and floral pieces using Cherry Cobbler ink onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White CS and adhered it to the inside of my card.

Just because we are now adults, doesn’t mean we can’t hand out Valentine’s to our friends (or even people we encounter while running errands – store clerk, bank teller, hairdresser – you get the idea).

These are super easy to make out of a 2″ strip of CS and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  I added a coordinating DSP heart to match the card and added the tootsie pop and some ribbon. (If you require further instruction – check out this video on my YouTube channel by clicking HERE).

Love You To Pieces Valentine

Hi Stampers. I am absolutely in love with our new January – June Mini Catalog. The products in there coordinate beautifully with items from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. For instance – this card uses the From My Heart Specialty DSP from the Mini and the Love You To Pieces stamp set from the Annual Catalog.

This card is made using Blushing Bride CS and the From My Heart Specialty DSP.  The top (smaller) layers are added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the Love You To Pieces puzzle pieces onto Whisper White scraps using Lovely Lipstick ink and die cut them using the Puzzle Pieces Dies.

I happened to have some leftover Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots – I adhered 3 of them to the card front to add some sparkle.

Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink.  I also used Lovely Lipstick ink to stamp a puzzle piece in two of the corners (before adhering it to the card base – so they could hang off the edge a bit).  This would make a great card to give my husband (of 30 years) for Valentine’s Day – He is my missing piece. 🙂

Heartfelt Valentine

Hi Stampers – can you feel the love in the air?  Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  I have always liked Valentine’s Day because my birthday is the week before – so it’s a whole week of fun stuff!

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Valentines day card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

This card starts with a Flirty Flamingo card base followed by a layer of beautiful new From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment and the heart punches are part of the Heartfelt bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Valentines day card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

I wanted to add a little bit of texture, so I dry embossed a strip of Blushing Bride CS using the Tufted Embossing Folder, backed with a layer of Whisper White.  This made the backdrop for my punched layered hearts.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Valentines day card by Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

Inside the card, I used three stamps from the Heartfelt bundle.  The dotted hearts were stamped first and then the sentiment added to the middle.  I created a mask by punching a heart out of post it note paper. The mask was placed over the stamped heart and then the arrow was stamped over that.  When the mask was removed it made it look like the arrow went though the heart.  Do you like this card and want to make more with this adorable bundle?  Place and order of $30 or more in my online store and I will sent you a PDF with six more cards using this great bundle!

Valentine’s Day Banner

Hi Stampers. Today I’d like to show you how to use your Stampin’ Up! Supplies to make holiday home decor.  I made this “Be Mine” Valentines Day banner.  This was super easy to make using the Be Mine Framelit Dies and the Large Letter Dies.Stampin' Up! Be Mine Stitched framelit dies and large letter framelit dies were used to make this Valentines Day home decor banner by Lisa An Bernard of Queen B Creations

Each panel of this banner is a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Smokey Slate CS. I marked the bottom center of one of the panels and went up a bit and made a dot with a pencil. Next, I used paper snips to cut from each bottom corner up to the dot.  Once I had the first one done, I just used it as a pattern to cut the rest of the panels.

I felt the Smoky Slate panels needed a little something, so I used the Sheet Music background stamp and Basic Gray ink to stamp each panel. A 3/4″ strip of Rose Glimmer paper across the top was added next.

Stampin' Up! Be Mine Stitched framelit dies and large letter framelit dies were used to make this Valentines Day home decor banner by Lisa An Bernard of Queen B Creations

I used the Be Mine Stitched Dies to die cut the hearts from Melon Mambo and Powder Pink CS.  For the letters I used the Large Letter Dies to cut them out of Melon Mambo CS. You can use either multipurpose liquid glue or the amazing multipurpose adhesive sheets on the CS before die cutting. (This basically makes them a sticker – no mess!).

I finished it off by punching a 1/4″ circle on either top corner and ran the 3/8″ Berry Burst Metallic Ribbon through the holes to string it up.  How cute is this?!?  I have made the following video tutorial to show you how easy it is!

Valentine’s Day Boozy Box

Hi Stampers.  Today I have a fun “Boozy Box” that was designed by fellow demo Erica Cerwin.  She shared how to do this last October using the Alpine Adventure bundle and the Festive Farmhouse plaid DSP.  I chose to change up her winter ski lodge style to a more Valentine’s Day theme.  I am thrilled with how it came out and gave away several of these as gifts.  The people I gave them to loved them!

Stampin' Up! Valentines Hot Chocolate Boozy Box By Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

For the base of this box, I used a piece of Blushing Bride CS 7-3/4″ x 11″. On the long side, I scored this at 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 4-1/4″ and 6″.   The short side was scored at 1-3/4″ and 6″. I used the Simply Scored score board because I felt that it gave me the most accurate measurements.  It can be done with the Stampin’ Trimmer, but you need to be careful on placement.

Next, I punched out a 1-3/8″ circle and two 1″ circles from scrap paper. I used these circles to figure out placement for the holes to hold the test tubes and the bottle. I attached them where I wanted them with a tad of snail adhesive and then punched over them. This is where the Hot Chocolate Mix, tiny Marshmallows and Baileys Irish Cream sample will be inserted.  (I purchased the test tubes at our local craft store in the jewelry bead department).

Next, I decorated the box. For the back, I cut a piece of Whisper White CS 4-1/8″ x 3″ and a piece of Tropical Escape DSP 4″ x 2-7/8″.  Then for the bottom front, I cut a piece of Whisper White CS 4-1/8″ x 1-7/8″ and a piece of Tropical Escape DSP 4″ x 1-3/4″.  I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon around the bottom of the box and tied a bow on the right side of the front.

Stampin' Up! Valentines Hot Chocolate Boozy Box By Lisa Ann Bernard of Queen B Creations

For the sentiments, I used the Forever Lovely stamp set.  The “Happy Valentines Day” is stamped on a strip of Whisper White CS using Blushing Bride ink.  That is layered on top of a strip of DSP and a strip of Blushing Bride CS.  All three layers were flagged on the end using the Banner Triple Punch.  The “Love You” is stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and die cut out using the Layering Circles Dies. I also used the Layering Circles Dies to die cut the scalloped circle in Blushing Bride CS.  The white circle is adhered to the pink circle using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Glue dots were used to adhere both sentiment to the front of the box.  Just too cute!
