Hi Stampers. Welcome back for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop, where we show you alternative ideas with your monthly Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin’ Up! This month we are playing with the Jolly Gingerbread kit. The kit made adorable little boxes shaped like gingerbread houses, you can see them in the video below, but I didn’t need those. I needed cards – so that’s what I made.
My card is a fun fold called a landscape easel card. This is the fold I used on my card yesterday for my Facebook Live class. It will be on YouTube soon. The card base is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Early Espresso CS, scored at 4-1/4″ and 6″. I layered Soft Suede CS and Trimming the Town DSP over that.
This gave me a cute winter scene, in which to set my house. Don’t you love how the path (on the DSP) leads right up to the door of my house? All stamps used on this card are from the Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin Kit and I used Early Espresso ink. The house is colored using Stampin’ Blends and the fence is made using scraps of Whisper White CS that I punched out using the Classic Label punch.
Inside the card, I stamped on a Whisper White layer in Early Espresso ink. As a “stop” to hold the card open, I used the two smallest dies in the Stitched Nested Label Dies and die cut an Early Espresso and a Whisper White label. They are attached with stampin’ dimensionals.
Doesn’t it look cute all propped up? It was fun – how fast it all came together!

Hi Stampers. It’s that time again – time for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We bring you alternative ideas to use with your Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin each month. While you may love the projects that Stampin’ Up! gives you – you may not. But, have no fear, we are here to help! Follow along and see LOTS of alternative projects.
I chose to make my own card bases and then use the pieces in the kit and the stamp set, to make my cards.
For the background on first card, I cut up one of the “crackers” and used the edges on the left and right side of my card front (adhered with Stampin’ Seal) and the center of the cracker in the center of my card front (adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals).
I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink onto a circle of Very Vanilla CS and surrounded it with the flowers and leaves from the kit. A few Pearl Basic Jewels finished it off.
Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla and used Stampin’ Seal to adhere it inside the card. Just for fun, I added a little pumpkin from the kit to the bottom right corner of the inside (adhered with fine-tip glue).
For the next card, I used a Crushed Curry card base with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Mossy Meadow CS up next. I used several of the detailed die cuts (3 in Crushed Curry and 3 in Cajun Craze) as the background for my card front and adhered them with fine-tip glue.
Stampin’ Tip: Stamipn’ Up! Fine-Tip glue is great for very detailed die cuts and tiny little pieces. The precision tip allows you to apply small amounts of glue. The cap includes pin to keep the tip clear and prevent drying.
For the focal point, I stamped the hat in Memento Black ink onto a circle that was die cut from Very Vanilla CS using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Next, I colored the hat using the Stampin’ Blends. The circle was adhered to the card front and a few leaves from the kit were tucked behind the circle and adhered with glue from the fine-tip glue pen.
Inside the card, I stamped the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Very Vanilla CS and used Stampin’ Seal to adhere it inside the card. Just for fun, I added a few flowers and leaves from the kit to the bottom right corner of the inside.

Hi Stampers, today I am participating in another Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. (Below, I have provided a blog hop line up for you). The September 2020 paper Pumpkin kit is called “Hello, Pumpkin” and is filled with adorable little treat boxes. Today I am making a few of the treats up as they intended. Come back on Tuesday, September 29th for my alternative ideas for this kit.
I assembled and decorated two of the “crackers” and made the 3″ x 3″ card with pieces from the kit, per the directions. (Well, sort of… LOL).
The “crackers” came pre-cut and pre-scored, all I had to do was put some adhesive and roll it up and tie the ends. The paper was double sided, so you could choose to do one pattern or the other – or BOTH!
The pumpkin and all the little pieces were already die cut, I just punched them out and attached them using the adhesives provided in the kit. I stamped the “Hello Pumpkin” in Pumpkin Pie ink (the kit came with Cajun Craze ink) using the cute stamp set in the kit.
For this one, I did pretty much the same thing, just used different elements and the black bakers twine this time instead of white.
This cute little 3″ x 3″ card was also an idea from the kit. I just love that Paper Pumpkin gives us more supplies than we need and then additional ideas to use for those extra supplies!

Hi Stampers. Welcome back for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. We are here to share with you alternative ideas to create with the pieces of the kit. This months kit is titled “World Greatest” and had a trophy and medal theme. I had no use for such cards, so I was happy to use the pieces to create something different!
Alternate #1:
For my first card, I decided to stick with the shaker card idea, but I added the Merry Moose Bundle and some snowflake sequins.
As you can see here, I have the moose popped up on dimensionals. The layering circles dies and a few dimensionals helped create the sentiment.
A few trees behind the moose and the snowflake sequins give a great winter scene look.
I even added an additional moose to the envelope front. : -)
Alternate #2:
For this card, I chose a fun fold flip card layout and used the card base within the kit as Designer Series Paper.
To make this fold I used the Layering Circles Dies and my new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Positioning the top cutting plate to only cover 1/2 the circle, I ran it though the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I them moved the top plate and cut the last 1/4 of the circle, leaving about a 1/2 an inch gap in the middle.
I then used the layering circle dies again and cut a Daffodil Delight and then a Pacific Point circle for the sentiment, which was stamped in Pacific Point.
I hope I have inspired you, but the fun is not over yet. Please click on the link below to follow along on the hop. Should you ever get lost, I have provided the entire lineup below.

Hi Stampers. Welcome back to another Paper Pumpkin Possibilites blog hop where we show you other possibilities for your monthly Paper Pumpkin kit. This months card kit was, again, awesome as it was designed. But, our job is to make alternative projects. The minute I saw the little lanterns – I KNEW they had to light up! So, I broke out my Chibitronics and got started!
Don’t they look great all lit up?? The card front and the sentiment came from the kit. I added a Blackberry Bliss card base and the Story Book Punch with some Whisper White CS.
It’s even pretty cool before it lights up – and that sentiment is perfect! The top layer is held up using Adhesive Strips so that the Chibitronics can do their job underneath.
To make the lanterns light up you just press the sentiment. 🙂 You can view my YouTube video on how to use the Chibitronics and you can use the links below to purchase some for yourself.
Inside the card I added the sentiment in Coastal Cabanna ink, with little splashes of Blackberrry Bliss (the color in the kit) in the corners.

Hi Stampers. It’s time for another Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. To be honest, this months kit didn’t thrill me until I started thinking of alternatives. Then I got a few ideas and couldn’t pick just one. So today I have three cards for you!
The original April 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit was OK. It made some nice cards. But, I think I’m really getting into this Paper Pumpkin alternative ideas thing!
My first thought was to turn that tree (from this months Paper Pumpkin kit) on it’s side and made it into a branch. I used the 1-1/8″ scallop circle punch and made a birds nest to set the little birdie into.
For the inside of this card, I just used the tree top to stamp leaves in the two corners. Nice and simple.
This one, I thought was kind of fun. I made a hedgehog by stamping the tree leaves onto a circle of Crumb Cake CS in Soft Suede ink. His face is the heart die from the Support Ribbon Dies. A little Soft Suede ink was sponged on the edges and two 1/4″ circles were used for his eyes. Stampin’ Up!s 1/2″ punch was used to make the feet and the leaf punch made his ears. The grass under his feet is the tree trunk stamp, from the Paper Pumpkin kit, with Pear Pizzaz ink.
Inside the card, I used the tree trunk and leaves for their intended purposes and added the sentiment.
My third card uses the tree leaves again, only this time I used So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink inks to just create a background to frame the sentiment.
Inside is another sentiment and a touch of the leaves from the front. Again, nice and simple. I hope you like my cards. Use this next button to follow along on the hop for more inspiration from our talented team of demonstrators!
Hopefully, you are already subscribed. The May Paper Pumpkin will feature some of the new 2020-2022 In-Colors and has already sold out! What does this mean?
Anyone who completed a new subscription or who was in active status before kits sold out will still receive a kit.
Current subscribers can still log in and manage their accounts; however, they will NOT be able to add additional kits to their May subscription.
Subscribers in canceled or suspended status will still be able to reactivate their subscription but will be activated for the JUNE subscription period; meaning they will not receive the May kit.
New subscriptions (for June’s kit) will reopen on May 11, 2020. We appreciate your patience as we adjust to unprecedented numbers of new Paper Pumpkin subscribers.
