Hi Stampers. Welcome to March. Can you believe it?!? February just FLEW by! Today’s blog post uses the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Peacock from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration brochure. We, at Global Stamping Friends, were challenged to make a card using: Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.
Here is my card:
This card started with an Early Espresso card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next up is a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ layer of Island Indigo card stock. I used one of the flourishes from the Beautiful Peacock stamp set and stamped randomly all over this layer with Island Indigo ink. On top of that I added a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ layer of Lemon Lime Twist, stamped with the same stamp in Lemon Lime Twist Ink. The focal layer is 2 3/4″ x 4″ of Whisper White. I stamped the Beautiful Peacock in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo ink and the sentiment in Early Espresso ink. That layer was put on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and finished off with a few Rhinestones.
The interior of the card has a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Whisper White card stock. In order to have the inside compliment the outside, I stamped the flourishes in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo ink in the corners and the sentiment in the center with Early Espresso ink. I hope this card inspires you to get inky! If you need supplies, I will provide a list of supplies used below that links to my online store.

Hi Stampers. Welcome back for another Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop! This time around we are playing with “Lions and Tigers and Bears – Oh My!!”. Stampin’ Up! projects made featuring animals! I chose to use the Party Pandas – one of the many FREE Sale-A-Bration items.
When I started this card, I knew I wanted to use the Party Panda stamp set and the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper that are both part of the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration products. By using one of the Stampin’ Up! DSPs, choosing what colors to use was easy. I had four choices – Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist. Any of them would have looked awesome with this card. I chose to use a Bermuda Bay card base and layered a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ layer of DSP. This gave me a 1/8″ border, rather than my normal 1/4″ border.
To make the DSP stand out, I used a smaller than normal center layer of Whisper White card stock – it is 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. I then used a 1″ x 3 1/2″ strip of the same DSP and just flipped it over and used the back side as a stripe across the Whisper White. This gave my pandas something to “sit/stand” on. I stamped the pandas using my Misti and Memento Black ink (as I, not so patiently, wait for my Stamparatus to arrive). This allowed me to ink and stamp the bears twice in exactly the same spot making the black much darker than just stamping once. I tried to make it look like the panda in the hat was jumping – it didn’t work out as well on paper as it looked in my head. 😛
The balloon was colored with Calypso Coral stampin’ blends and the party hat with the Daffodil Delight stampin’ blends. I used a little bit of the lighter of the Basic Gray stampin’ blend for a shadow under the feet. The happy birthday was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and the confetti was stamped with Island Indigo ink.

Welcome to the Pals January 2018 Blog Hop. Our theme this month is “From the Heart” featuring heartfelt projects like Valentine’s Day, Thinking of You, Get Well and Sympathy. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
When I saw the theme – “from the heart”, I knew just the card to use! This is a card I designed for my upcoming Valentine’s Day card class. It’s a quick and easy card that would be great for a class of children or for a senior center card. It’s so quick and easy!
This card starts with a Basic Black card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. Next I attached a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock that is 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″, followed by a 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ layer of Whisper White CS. I then used the Big Shot and the Large Letter Framelit dies to die cut the latter I and U from scraps of Basic Black CS. The Sweet and Sassy framelit dies were used to cut the heart out of Red Glimmer Paper. The letters were attached with glue dots and the heart was attached with stampin’ dimensionals.
For the interior of the card I used Momento Black ink and the new Epic Celebrations stamp set from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration brochure. (You can own this set for FREE by placing a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration!) I used the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the sneakers. I have included a list of all supplies used below with links to purchase them from my online store.
Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on February 14, 2018. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment. We really like that.

Hi Stampers. Welcome to Tomorrow is the day – It’s the start of Sale-a-bration! Stampin’ Up! is kicking off their biggest sale of the year! Stampin’ Up! is releasing some exclusive products that you can only earn for FREE! Yes, you heard me right, FREE! They are only available for a limited time and you can only earn them for FREE! When I first saw the 2018 Sale-a-bration offerings, I knew I HAD to have this Party Panda stamp set.
This card starts out with a Pacific Point card base, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″, followed by a 5-1/4″ x 4″ layer of Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (DSP). The Party Pandas were stamped onto a 4-1/4″ x 3″ layer of Whisper White card stock. They were then colored with the Stampin’ Blends markers. The number “2018” die cut out of the middle of that layer.
The Whisper White layer – minus the numbers – was mounted onto a 4-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ layer of Pool Party CS with multi-purpose glue. Next mini stampin’ dimensionals were added to the back of the numbers. The numbers were then inserted into the holes they were cut from. The inserts to the “0” and the “8” were adhered into their spaces with multi-purpose glue.
The inside of the card is a 5-1/4″ x 4″ layer of Whisper White CS. It was stamped with a Panda in the middle and the envelope was colored with Stampin’ Blends markers. The “sparkles” around the outer edge are stamped with a stamp from the Amazing You stamp set. This set is also a limited time stamp set that may only be earned for FREE. It was stamped using Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie inks.
I hope this post shows you how awesome these limited release items are and convinces you that you NEED to place the qualifying order to earn them for your own collection!

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for March 2017. This month our theme is “SaleABration”, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss any of them. Regardless if you started here or came from another blog, you want to check out all the fun ideas. I have included the entire blog hop line up (featuring 23 Stampin’ good ideas!) in case you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
One of my favorite 2017 SaleABration items was recently added. Have you seen the new 6″ x 6″ glimmer paper assortment pack? (You can get your very own pack by ordering $50 in Stampin’ Up! product during SaleABration!) It’s a fabulous pack 12 with 4 of each fun of 3 spring colors – Mint Macron, Sweet Sugarplum & Bermuda Bay.
I recently had someone ask me to build them a “fairy card in a box” and she wanted LOTS OF GLITTER! Well, one look at this new glimmer paper and I knew they would be perfect!
I used my basic card in a box card base design (found here) using Bermuda Bay card stock and Bermuda Bay glimmer paper and used Whisper White as my stamping layer of card stock. The fairy dust is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink using the swirl from the Stampin’ Up! Star of Light stamp set.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Fairy Celebration stamp set. I stamped onto Whisper White card stock and fussy cut them out using my paper snips. This allowed me to clip off the cherries, which didn’t really fit with my design. I then colored them with my Stampin’ Up! markers. I cut out additional fairies and unicorn with my Silhouette Cameo using Stampin’ Up! glimmer paper (Dazzling Diamonds, Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macron and Bermuda Bay).
For the side panels I used the Stampin ‘Up! Balloon Adventures and my computer/printer. The customer asked for a specific saying on one panel and I didn’t have a stamp to match. So, I created it on my computer using the RGB codes for Stampin’ Up! colors and printed it onto Whisper White card stock and cut it to size.
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, we hope you are inspired to get crafting and use the SaleABration items you have earned. (Note: If you don’t have these items yet, contact your demonstrator today! These items are “while supplies last” and end forever on March 31st!) Remember t0 check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.
