Hi Stampers. Today I am showcasing a cute gift set of Daisy Lane decorated note cards that I recently gave to a fellow Stampin’ Up! demo who helped me out with something.
This gift set uses the Stampin’ Up! pre-cut / pre-scored note cards and envelopes. The Whisper White or Very Vanilla note cards with envelopes are a great place to start if you are looking for something quick and easy!
The note cards and envelopes fit perfectly into this simple little holder made from a single 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. For this gift set I used Pretty Peacock – the photo above is another one in Pacific Point. To make the holder, I scored the CS in half both ways (5-1/2″ on long side and 4-1/4″ on short side. I then cut from the 5-1/2″ mark to the center 4-1/4″ mark on two side (as shown in photo above).
To make the holder, I just folded on the 5-1/2″ score line and then on the 4-1/4″ score line. To tie the folder shut, I wrapped Silver 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon around and attached it with snail adhesive. I did this before decorating the front of the folder, so that the ribbon would be behind layers.
The cover is decorated by using a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Pretty Peacock DSP and then a 3-3/4″ x 5″ layer of Whisper White CS. I used Garden Green and Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the stem, flower and sentiments onto the Whisper White layer.
I placed a clear faceted gem in the center of the daisy and tied a bow on the side of the holder.
Inside the holder are five note cards with envelopes, on of each of the 2019-2021 in-colors. First, I stamped the leaves onto the note card using Garden Green ink. There is a 5″ x 1-1/4″ piece of the gingham pattern from the 2019-2021 in-color DSP topped with a 5″ x 1″ piece of Whisper White CS. The sentiment in stamped onto the Whisper White strip of CS in the coordinating in-color ink.
I stamped the medium daisy three times (in the in-color) and punched them out with the Medium Daisy punch. The three flowers are attached together and then to the card using mini glue dots.
In the center of the top daisy I put some fine-tip glue and then the dazzling diamonds glitter. I cut a piece of the DSP a little larger than the flap on the envelope, adhered it with snail adhesive on the edges of flap and trimmed off excess with the paper snips.
On the inside of the note card I stamped the word “smile” and adhered a 3/4″ strip of the DSP on the right side vertically. I am just tickled with how it came out!
I am in love with this stamp set and the gingham DSP. Did you know that the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (which includes the gingham) is available in every color Stampin’ Up! has!?!? You can see them on page 168 in the Annual Catalog. The photo only shows one color, but the stack comes with 4 of each color in 2 double sided designs. They are sold by color families.
This DSP come in all Stampin’ Up! colors!!
